FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Continuing the history of giving that his parents, S.P. & Estelle Yates started, Peyton created the PY Foundation. His love for innovation, freedom, and all things Artesia has resulted in unique funding opportunities for our rural area that contributes to the idea that Artesia is the City of Champions.

VICE PRESIDENT

Hanson follows a long legacy of giving started by his grandparents. As Vice President of the Board, he helps to ensure that the Foundation’s vision, mission, and values are shown in the grants and projects funded by PY Foundation. Hanson’s greatest passion is spending time with his four young children. His other interests include energy policy, international affairs, college basketball, snow skiing, fly fishing, running, and hiking. Hanson, born in Artesia, is an Eddy County native but currently resides in Houston.

TREASURER/SECRETARY

is the Executive Director of the PY Foundation, where she leads strategic investments and partnerships across Southeast New Mexico focused on education, healthcare, economic development, and quality of life. Since 2012, she has played a key role in advancing public-private partnerships that bring long-term community projects to life, including major capital initiatives in Artesia. Sandra has worked with the Peyton Yates Family since 2011 and is committed to strengthening communities through collaborative, results-driven philanthropy. She holds a Master of Arts in Administrative Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts, Specializing in Communication, Public Relations, and Advertising with a Minor in Spanish from Angelo State University.
